Individual Therapy for Anxiety & Depression in Visalia
Maybe you look like you're managing, but inside there's a constant hum of worry, a heaviness that won't lift, or a sense of being disconnected from yourself and the people around you. Anxiety and depression are exhausting precisely because they're so often invisible to everyone else.
In individual therapy, we make space for what you've been carrying. Through a warm, person-centered relationship and evidence-based tools, including EMDR, somatic work, and parts work, we get underneath the symptoms to what's really driving them, so relief actually lasts.

You might be navigating…
- Racing thoughts, restlessness, or a body that won't relax
- Panic attacks or a low hum of dread you can't shake
- Heaviness, numbness, or losing interest in things you loved
- Feeling disconnected from yourself or the people you love
- A loss of control, or like you're just going through the motions
The process
How individual therapy works
Understanding your story
We start by getting to know you, your history, your patterns, and what you long for. Symptoms always make sense in context, and yours will too.
Calming the nervous system
You'll learn practical, body-based tools to settle anxiety and panic in the moment, so daily life feels more manageable while we do the deeper work.
Reaching the root
Anxiety and depression often grow from old wounds and protective parts. Using EMDR and parts work where helpful, we tend to the source, not just the surface.
Building a life that fits
Together we strengthen self-compassion, boundaries, and meaning, so you're not just less symptomatic but more genuinely yourself.
The other side
What change can feel like
Healing isn't about becoming someone new, it's about coming home to who you already are. Here's what clients often notice over time.
- A quieter mind and a calmer body
- Energy and interest returning
- Feeling connected to yourself again
- Tools you can carry for the rest of your life
Common questions
Do I need to be 'in crisis' to start therapy?+
Not at all. Many people begin therapy because something simply feels off, or they want to grow. You don't have to be at your lowest to deserve support.
What therapy approaches do you use for anxiety and depression?+
I draw from person-centered, somatic, EMDR, and parts-work (IFS-informed) approaches, tailored to you. We blend in-the-moment coping skills with deeper work on the roots of your distress.
How much is an individual session?+
Individual sessions are $155. I provide superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance.
